It replaces fragmented folder structures with a transparent, interconnected map, instantly revealing the engineering intent and dependencies behind every object. The Relations app maps complex database links into a visual web, allowing engineers to see exactly how one change ripples across assemblies, parts, and documents related to them.

 

THE EVOLUTION: From "File Paths" to "Data Map"

            Traditional SOLIDWORKS relies on fragile external references that breaks if folder paths change. In contrast, the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform uses a robust database where objects are connected via Relational Links. TECHNICAL WALKTHROUGH

Obtaining ‘Relations’ App


To access the Relations app within the CSV role, follow these three steps:

1.    Select Role: Click the Compass and chooseCollaborative Industry Innovator (CSV).

2.    Open App: Search for or select Relations from the filtered app list.

3.    Load Data:Drag and drop any object into the app to view its connections.
