SOLIDWORKS VISUALIZE ADD-IN TO EXPORT MODELS FROM SOLIDWORKS

SOLIDWORKS Visualize is a standalone software package designed to take 3D CAD data and transform it into photo-realistic images and animations that are ready for print and web in minutes.

The intuitive interface allows even non-technical users to develop rich, life like visual content with ease. With more robust images, internal team members and external stakeholders can quickly select, validate, improve and market their best and most robust design concepts before committing precious time and resources to a product.

The SOLIDWORKS Visualize Add-in offers four options for exporting your active model from SOLIDWORKS to SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

To use the add-in, in SOLIDWORKS, click Tools > Add-in and select SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

Export Simple

This option provides you with fastest way to paint and take photos of a model you created in SOLIDWORKS. To achieve faster rendering, it minimizes the number of parts in the Visualize Scene Tree.

Click Export Simple to save a copy of the active model and load it into SOLIDWORKS Visualize using Appearance mode part grouping.

Export Advanced

This option gives you more flexibility if you update your model often.

Click Export Advanced to save a copy of your active model with Automatic mode part grouping and Monitor File enabled.

If you have Visualize Professional and the model includes a motion study, the Select Motion Study dialog box lets you save or not save the motion study, or save only the camera motion.

Update

This option exports the latest version of your active model and triggers an update in Visualize.

Click Update and confirm that you want to re-import the model into SOLIDWORKS Visualize and update it.

Save Advanced

This option saves a copy of your active model and motion studies to a specific location, so you can import the model into SOLIDWORKS Visualize. You can use this option to export the model to other users who do not have SOLIDWORKS installed on their computer.

Click Save Advanced and specify a directory in which to save the model. If you have Visualize Professional and the model includes a motion study, the Select Motion Study dialog box lets you save or not save the motion study, or save only the camera motion.

Do More than Just Visualize with Assembly Visualization

Ever since its introduction in SOLIDWORKS 2010, Assembly Visualization has been a excellent tool to display components in an assembly based on different criteria using colors.

Assembly Visualization can be used as an interactive BOM in which you can see file name, quantity, mass, material, volume, density etc.,

²Add colors to visualize the model property values.

²You can add new columns to show other properties of the model.

Lets just add a new column to link SW-Material

²You can sort the assembly visualization based on the properties in different columns.

²Another great option available inside Assembly Visualization is we can directly apply materials to parts.

²Use the Rollback bar to show only necessary components in Assembly Visualization
²Other Tree options

²Starting from SOLIDWORKS 2018, you can directly access Performance Analysis option inside Assembly Visualization.

And sort based on Graphics Triangle, Open time, rebuild time.

²Another great option is that you can save this style. Instead of adding/editing the new column, you can load this style for future display of Assembly Visualization

²You can also save this as Excel, Text or PDF and publish this a Bill of Materials as Top-level, Parts only or Indented.

With Assembly Visualization you can evaluate you assembly performance and sort by component properties and more.

Design to Manufacture Solutions for Pump Industry

Pump Industry in India – An Overview
The Indian Pump industry is growing at an annual Compound Annual Growth rate of approx 10%– which is higher than the international Compound Annual Growth rate average of approx 6% –due to the surge in infrastructure development, growth in agriculture and other water intensive industries. The domestic Indian pump market is growing at a healthy rate of 16-18% per year in India.

SOLIDWORKS Overview

The product we manufacture should be cost effective and reliable. To maintain good quality, reliability and reduce cost, no. of product failures must be minimized. SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD provides best solutions to deliver product on time, reduce manufacturing and operating costs and increase business opportunity in the competitive global market.

SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD

The advantages of having the 3D CAD model as the center of your Design to Manufacturing Process include:

  • Automatically propagate design changes to downstream functional areas.
  • Changes can be incorporated late in the product development cycle without the need to push out delivery dates.
  • Concurrent design and manufacturing.
  • Products can be easily represented using 3D CAD model.

Great products begin with great design.

SOLIDWORKS offers tools enable the user to develop from concept to parts, assemblies & detailing and helps innovate and develop thanks to industry-leading capabilities including Conceptual Design, Surfacing, Direct Editing, Production-quality 2D drawings, Large Assemblies., Reverse Engineering, Mold design, sheet metal, weldments, and pipe and electrical routing, Automated Generative Design, CAD Libraries, Import/Export, Design for Manufacturability and Bill of Materials.

Validation

SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation will assess the fluid flow for varied engineering applications and may facilitate thermal analysis for finding varied heat transfer issues. Design and analysis of various types of turbo-machinery to simulate specified air/volume flow rate, determine the power required to achieve performance and overall pump efficiency.

Visualization

SOLIDWORKS Visualize is the camera of SOLIDWORKS that enables create professional, high quality, photo-realistic images, animations, and interactive 3D content quickly and easily.
With SOLIDWORKS Visualize you'll be able to produce sales and promoting content at design stage and be able to begin promoting before your product is launched.

Inspection Ballooning

SOLIDWORKS Inspection package is a First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process quality inspection software that automates and streamlines the creation of ballooned review drawings and review reports like AS9102, PPAP, etc..
Enhanced with OCR performance and capabilities extended to part, assembly, drawing files and third-party files like PDF, TIFF, SOLIDWORKS Inspection helps you streamline your shop floor inspection and Quality Assurance processes and create inspection reports and ballooned drawings in minutes.

Secure Data with Product Data Management

Centralizing the storage of all engineering data and all related files can be achieved using SOLIDWORKS PDM. It provides a robust environment for collaboration, design reuse, change management and design data distribution.
SOLIDWORKS Manage is an advanced, record-based data management system for process management, item management, Engineering change management, BOM management, serial number generation etc.

Technical Communication

Creation of assembly instructions, product manuals, manufacturing information, and other downstream deliverable quickly and easily by both engineers and non-engineers can by done using SOLIDWORKS Technical Communications applications.
Detailed technical illustrations, animations, product communication, and interactive 3D experiences can be easily re-purposed with 2D and 3D content using SOLIDWORKS Composer.

Model-based 3D (PMI) for integrated drawing-less manufacturing with SOLIDWORKS MBD.
