How to Create Your Own SOLIDWORKS Shortcut Keys 


We can customize SOLIDWORKS keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow and tailor the interface to your design style 

Step 1: 
• Right-click anywhere on the toolbar area. 
• Select Customize.

 Step 2: 
• In the Customize dialog box, click on the Keyboard tab. 
• Use the Search for bar to quickly find the command. (Extruded Boss/Base).

Step 3: 

• Click on the command row. 

• In the Shortcut(s) column, click the input box. 

• Enter your key combination to create shortcut. (Eg: Ctrl+E) then save and Close. 

(Note: If the shortcut is already in use, SOLIDWORKS will warn you and let you decide if you want to overwrite it.)
