When turning the Outer Diameter of the cylindrical body the burrs can be formed which will cause damage to the mating location or the users. This can be removed while the turning operation toolpath running time using the bar break moves for these types of turning toolpaths.

How to create Bar Break Chamfers

1.Bar Break, Under NC tab on the Operation Parameters dialog box select the method:

o   Chamfer – Specify the Distance & Angle from sharp edge

o   Radius - Specify the Distance & Radius from sharp edge

o   % - Specifies the chamfer distance as a percentage from nose radius.


2.Optional : Reverse

The Reverse option has selected the cut can be done by the opposite direction of the cut pass.

This is how the Bar Break option can be used to create the corner chamfer or radius to eliminate the burrs and unwanted edges.
