iv)      Selection Filters Enhancements

The Selection Filter toolbar in SOLIDWORKS 2026 introduces new options for greater precision and control while modelling.

  • The new Feature Filter lets you select and delete features such as cut extrudes, fillets, and holes directly from the graphics area.
  • The Component Filter enables selection of top-level parts and subassemblies within assemblies.
  • You can now assign custom shortcut keys for specific filters, including Surface Bodies, Solid Bodies, Midpoints, Center Marks, and Centerlines.
  • The Selection category in Tools > Customize > Keyboard lists all Selection Filter tools for easy access.

v)    Other User Interface Enhancements

SOLIDWORKS 2026 introduces several interface improvements for a smoother and more flexible design experience across drawings, assemblies, and multi-monitor setups.

  • You can now click List at the bottom of a drawing or tab to view all open sheets or tabs. Options to Add Sheet or create a new study are available directly from the list.
  • You can freely move folders and components within the FeatureManager design tree, including below the Origin and above Mates.
  • When working on multiple monitors, the Tile Horizontally/Vertically options now distribute and display open files evenly across all available screens.
